Plant with bulb of exotic allure, whose bloom of a bright red occurs in the middle of the summer. Its red flowers are known to attract hummingbirds.   I am very proud to observe my lucifers growing in my lawn adjacent to home's entrance. In addition to being photogenic, this plant will enhance the look of any flowered and will fill you with energy as you pass by.
