Andahuaylillas, Quispicanchi, Peru
In Peru, the Saint Peter Apostle Church of Andahuaylillas is nicknamed " the Sistine Chapel of the Andes", and in a sense the comparison is relevant: this church is one of the most beautiful and surprising examples of the Andean popular religious art.
Andahuaylillas is a small village located in the province of Quispicanchi, less than 45 km from the city of Cuzco. According to the vestiges that one finds there, the village is located on a Inca site of some importance.
